Hiwan Golf Club in Evergreen, CO

Hiwan Golf Club is located of 7,600 feet above sea level in the mountains to the West of Denver. The private, 18-hole course offers a scenic 7,006 yards of golf, playing to a par of 70. Designed by J. Press Maxwell, the golf course was built on mountainous terrain, causing uneven lies. The greens are also very difficult to read. To add even more challenging elements, there are also water hazards and bunkers on the course. The most picturesque hole is the 12th, which boasts lovely waterfalls.

Phil Mickelson, when asked about the fast greens at the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, KY noted that he had only experienced faster greens at two other courses: Augusta National and Hiwan. Steve Jones, too, when interviewed on ESPN, paid homage to his Colorado Open experiences saying that his biggest challenge with greens was at Hiwan Golf Club in Evergreen, Colorado.

Our mission is to provide the gift of martial arts to all students, regardless of their financial situation. The benefits of martial arts are tremendous and life changing. A few include: An increased self-confidence and knowledge that with hard work you can accomplish anything. The discipline and respect that we don't see enough of in this world today. The perseverance to follow through with your commitments, even when they get hard. We can only imagine a world where we all have a common set of values we live by.

The Horn Family Foundation provides martial arts scholarships to students in need in the US and Internationally - including martial arts classes, equipment, tournaments, and other martial arts experiences.

We thank you for your support and can’t wait to see you at Hiwan!

Much love and gratitude,
The Horn Family
